The Legion of Super-Heroes arrive from the future in present day Smallville in search of their ally, Superboy. Instead they find a confused Superman.

You see, in this post-Crisis DC Universe Superboy doesn’t exist (see Crisis on Infinite Earths (1985) #1-12 for details). Or does he?
