The Pantheon calls in the Hulk to deal with his old foe the Abomination. Meanwhile, the Silver Surfer has crash landed into the home of Doctor Strange and brings with him the warning of the mad titan Thanos (see also Infinity Gauntlet #1).

As half the population in the universe ceases to exist, the Hulk is pulled through a vortex to parts unknown.
