Thanks to the efforts of New York's super-hero community the Demon Effect is now fading (see Uncanny X-Men (1963) #241, New Mutants (1983-1991 1st Series) #71, X-Terminators (1988) #1-4, Amazing Spider-Man (1963-1998 1st Series) #311-313, and Web of Spider-Man (1985) #47-48).

This allows X-Factor to take the fight to the Goblin Queen herself.
